Rhodri's car being rather less alive than would be helpful, a lift has been procured. Everything that I can currently remember that I should be packing is packed, except my phone, which is charging. An immoderate quantity of chocolate has been consumed, and now we just have to wait and find out whether our luggage fits into the car of the kind person who's taking us to the con. Or, for that matter, whether we fit into it once said luggage is in there...
