I have to get to London for an appointment tomorrow morning, which would ordinarily mean leaving home earlier than I'd really want to. But, just to make sure life is kept interesting:

Power supply problems between Sandy and Biggleswade
Time reported	17:45
TOC(s) affected	GNER, Wagn
Route affected	London Kings Cross-Stevenage-Sandy-Peterborough-Grantham-Doncaster-York-Newcastle-Edinburgh
Description	Services are being disrupted due to power supply problems, caused by a lightning strike, between Sandy and Biggleswade. Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 90 minutes are expected.
There is no estimated time for normal working to resume at present

Updates

20:25	Services from London Kings Cross are unable to depart until further notice. GNER and Wagn hope to resume service as soon as possible.

Now, while this isn't actually my route, what are the chances that it's going to break the services from Cambridge? I trust WAGN about as far as I can throw them...

Of course, much less fun for people who are really trying to commute on that service, having been roasted on the same trains last week.

It'll be fine. It was last Thursday.

The lines diverge before Biggleswade.

Ahhh, the joys of rail travel... at least it's lightning strike, which is a plausible long-term problem, as opposed to 'there's a leaf on the line, it will now take us 1 1/2 hours to remove it...'

You survived Tuesday all right?
