I don't suppose you could arrange for something... interesting... to happen to this man, could you?

Hmm. The URL, "brit_prof_argues_for_id" made me think it was going to be some loony in favour of ID cards.

I'm not sure the reality is any better. /-8

Who's [livejournal.com profile] g_dog? It sounds to me like a case for Mr Bach Vu...

Oooh! He's just around the corner from where I work. I'll have words with her tonight, I'm sure she'll be happy to send someone round to slap him with a wet fish for a bit or something like that.

A sociologist? Anyone taking advice/evidence from a sociologist is probably a dabbler in Thee Darke Arts.

Do you want us to prove evolution to him be de-evolving him? It can be very very painful and involves reducing him to lots of tiny, individual cells;@)

Yes well it's your fault. It was my bed until you so rudely moved in and stole my radiator.

Sorry, I think she's being a bit belligerent tonight... I'll feed her gin and chocolate and hopefully she'll be more accommodating in the morning :)

I apologise on behalf of my friend [livejournal.com profile] g_dog, who is lovely really...

But your radiator is ever so nice and warm.
And kindly slaps you about the head when you don't get up soon enough to sort your alarm clock out.

You make an interesting proposition. Throw in some chocolate, and I'll have words with my allies. Watch the papers in a couple of days.

You should try poking her in the ear with a paw; it's fun, AND you get things fetched for you. And no alarm clock related violence either once she's well trained.

Oh yes. Because nothing abolishes a dissenting view like inflicting violence on its proponents...;)

You do disingenuous so well, my dear. Or maybe when someone says "...interesting..." in that particular way there's another meaning to it that I'm not aware of.

I don't care how right the people who attack Intelligent Design are, or how wrong it is. Both sides of the debate are arguing from entrenched certainty and with contempt for their opponents, as the page you linked to makes abundantly clear, and that always leaves a foul taste in my mouth. I don't believe contempt is ever something the good guys do. Guess I'm just sad and strange...

...and [livejournal.com profile] g_dog does sometimes set tigers onto people, but in this case I think she was planning something more surreal. I've just been sent to Wilkos to get wire, feathers, and some tinsel. Hmmm.
