Life on Mars?

Am I alone in thinking that yesterday's APoD photograph demonstrates that Mars is, in fact, better known as the planet of the Clangers? I'm pretty sure that's Major Clanger coming out of his burrow...

Tired

Still feeling tired. There seems to be an outbreak of insomnia amongst my friends at the moment: nhw and simont have both written about it today as well. Sadly, I don't seem immune from it. Last night, knowing I was planning to be up late tonight, I actually got an early(-ish) night; the result was simply that I spent until some time after 4am tossing and turning in bed, unable to sleep. Having been woken at 5am, I did manage to get back to sleep, which promptly wiped out the entire morning without actually leaving me feeling refreshed.

Sigh. I don't imagine going out for the evening is particularly going to improve things; at least I'm going out tired but mostly happy, rather than awake but horribly distracted by the rest of life, which resulted in my being rather less sociable than I ought to have been two weeks ago. Time for coffee, I think...
