A good time last night, first at Rome Burns' gig at the Man in the Moon, then seeing a completely different set of friends at a completely different pub. Very much enjoyed Rome Burns' set; it's nto the style of music I'm used to listening to, but maybe I should change that... That accounts for the majority of yesterday, since I didn't wake up until mid-afternoon; can't think why...

Trying to decide whether to go to Film Club (martial arts films) or Octaine (cheesy 80s goodness :) tonight. Currently erring on the side of Octaine, but with the slightly substantial notion in the back of my mind that a quiet night in and an early bedtime might be rather more sensible. Particularly if I'm going to get to [livejournal.com profile] elise's party on Saturday, which I rather suspect is going to involve anything but an early night. And at some point I need to make a costume. Bah.

Oh, and a dim memory has surfaced that someone on Tuesday night might have asked me to dinner. Unfortunately, my memory hasn't furnished me with some of the important details, like who asked, when for, where it might be, and whether the conversation actually happened in the first place... Actually, I think that constitutes all the important details, to be honest. So, I shall put this thought in the window, so that if its owner comes past they can come in and retrieve it. Failing that, I'll assume I'm very-slightly-more-than-usually delusional :-)

Thanks for coming and I hope you enjoyed yourself!

Hm, the thing might be more to do with certain people rather than the Kambar and Octaine tends to attract different people than the Calling.

It was quiet even for us (we didn't break even) but pretty standard before 11 or so. Octaine draws a very small regular crowd due to its diverse playlist. Sadly, not very many people revel in diverse and new music as much as [livejournal.com profile] raggedy_man and I or our guest DJs. It's the kind of thing DJs and other music people really like but the general public can't quite get, which is a big shame.

Oh. :o(

Something completely different
