Well, that was stupid.
Struggling with a more-than-usually independently minded shopping trolley, I managed to walk into one of its wheels. Hard. Unfortunately, nice as my soft leather open-toed sandals are, they don't really provide a great deal of protection against this sort of thing. I came home with the frozen peas packed around my foot, and now have a rather lacerated middle toe, which is currently throbbing and turning interesting colours.
Sigh. Boots. That's what I need, nice boots. With steel toecaps, preferably...

Date: 2005-07-09 09:23 pm (UTC)A colleague at work dropped a box of course brochures on her foot on Wednesday. She has a broken bone, and is now in plaster up to the knee, and not due back in work till wedon'tknowwhen.
Mind you, she *did* miss a ...tricky... journey from Walthamstow to Harlesden on Thursday... It's an ill wind, as they say!
