Thank you -- that's at least faintly reassuring (although the restore tool doesn't work for me). If I read the maze of twisty little timezones correctly, they're probably still working on putting entries back, so I'll just hope they reappear over the next day or so.

Apparently if the restore tool doesn't work at this point, then the entry (and its comments) really are lost. I shall have to try and reconstruct it from comment notifications (which, fortunately, were working for me, but not all of which I kept...)

I was wondering that! I assumed I'd been filtered out of it; glad to know I'm wrong :)

How are you doing, incidentally? I'm kicking my heels most afternoons at the moment if you want tea and a chat any time. I know I don't know you very well yet, but that is something I'd like to change :)

I'm OK, thanks, if slightly bemused by the weekend's events, which have given me yet more to think about, and which I might even eventually get round to writing about...

I should get round to writing replies to both you and <lj user="the_lady_lily" soon, I promise -- I've was out on Friday and Saturday evenings, and foiled today by finding nothing there to which to attach comments. If it doesn't reappear, I'll do a little reconstruction tomorrow. I've not yet made many plans for this week (other than film club), but yes, I'd love to meet up at some point. I probably shouldn't make definite arrangements until I've had some time to talk to Liz, though -- she's been very fragile today, and we need to make time first.

I've now posted a response in a replacement thread (finally!).

I'm not quite sure when your work starts; might early evening on Thursday be a good time to meet, before film club starts?
