Puff, pant

Four miles each way to and from church on the bike, then another two going to meet the children coming back from their church in the village. Surprisingly, I'm not feeling too bad after this, despite only having ridden a mile or two at a time recently, and before that having not gone anywhere on the bike for three years or so.

I'm feeling rather smug about this, if slightly sweaty :-)

Cycling in the rain is deeply unpleasant. I'd take the tube if I were you. I think you'll find four miles very manageable though: it's roughly equivalent to a one mile walk.

Oh yes, particularly on a recumbent, where you're less upright. Presumably the tube is one that eviltwinemma's Vikings have been digging? I didn't know that the underground extended as far as Impington...
