... from Cambridge station, some time this afternoon, a bike looking rather like this one,

only in black and without the orange reflectors. It's a Radius "Peer Gynt", and says "Peer Gynt" in the white writing toward the front of the frame.
It's quite distinctive: if you're in Cambridge, could you keep an eye out, just on the offchance that someone has stolen it, ridden off, and dumped it? (On the other hand, I don't think it's very likely; anyone trying that without having ridden one before would probably have fallen off... Sigh.)
This is about to turn four hellishly difficult weeks into four completely impossible ones, as I need it to get children to and from school, and to get to work and back. And to have any kind of social life, of course, not that I was doing that much anyway. *headdesk*
Oh, and if anyone's planning to take
their bike to the station: the enormous yellow signs all over the place are true. There
are cameras all over the place there. However, they're not recorded, and not always watched... This is (IMNSHO) worse than useless; if there hadn't been the signs saying "security patrolled and CCTV monitored", I'd have been a lot more cautious about leaving the bike there in the first place...
